School of Radiologic Technology Hancock Regional Hospital is a general hospital located approximately 20 miles east of Indianapolis in the city of Greenfield, Indiana. The hospital is located on Indiana Highway 9 (801 N. State St.) and is easily accessible from Interstate 70 or U.S. 40. Hancock Regional has a professional building and an ambulatory surgery center on the grounds of the facility and is attached directly to the south end of the hospital. Parkway Imaging Center located on the southeast portion of the campus. Hancock Regional Hospital also sponsors two other clinical education sites: 1) Riverview Hospital, 395 Westfield Road, Noblesville, Indiana. Riverview is a general hospital; and 2) Rush Memorial Hospital, 1300 N. Main Street, Rushville, IN. Rush is a critical access hospital. The School of Radiologic Technology is a full-time school. It is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), 20 North Wacker Dr., Suite 2850, Chicago, IL 60606-3182 (312) 704-5300. The JRCERT is recognized by the United States Department of Education. The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists nationally certifies the school's graduates. Sponsorship of the above is with the American College of Radiology and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. The school is also approved by the Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs. The program is 23 months long and continues year around, beginning on the first Monday after July 4th of each year. The student will earn a certificate which is presented during graduation ceremonies. Upon completion of graduation requirements, students are eligible to sit for the examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Upon passing said examination, the student will receive the credentials of R.T. (R)ARRT under the authority of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, representative of the American College of Radiology and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. GENERAL INFORMATION
TUITION: $4015.00 per year. First year's tuition is due May 31st and must be paid in full. After May 31st the student will not be considered enrolled if tuition is not received. A 50% refund of the first year tuition is granted if the student withdraws before the first day of school. Once a student accepts admission to the program a non-refundable deposit of $300 is required to hold the position. The deposit is due 10 business days after acceptance or the position will be offered to another applicant. The deposit will be credited towards the tuition amount. Tuition will not be refunded after the first day of school. The program does not participate in Title IV funding and therefore cannot offer financial aid.
HOURS: Assignments will not exceed 40 hours per week. Assignments are Monday through Friday.
APPLICATION FEE: $30.00 must be submitted with application for admission.
STUDENT ACTIVITIES FEE: A one-time payment of $200.00 to cover seminar and field trip expenses, etc.
PHYSICALS: Completed physical and immunization forms must be submitted to the Occupational Health Services Department of Hancock Regional Hospital by June 30th
TEXTBOOKS: Books will be purchased by the student. They will be ordered by the school through Rittenhouse Book Distributors, Inc. and will be delivered to your home. Cost is approximately $800 for the 2 years. Payment is to Rittenhouse.
DRESS CODE: Students are required to follow the dress code of the school. The cost will vary with individual taste and will be purchased by the student. HOUSING: None is provided. Housing is the sole responsibility of the student. CLINICAL EDUCATION SITES: The student's placement at one of the four clinical education sites is at the discretion of the program officials. SALARIES: Entry level salaries in Indiana range from $35,000.00 to $40,000.00. Students do not earn a wage while attending school. OTHER: · Standards for an Accredited Educational Program in Radiologic Sciences and the Student Handbook of Policies and Procedures will be distributed upon acceptance into the program.

* Assigned hours are 37.5 per week * Didactic classes are held at Hancock Regional Hospital one day per week *
* Student records are locked in the Program Director's/Clinical Instructor’s office and are available upon request with regard to privacy. * A $500.00 one-time scholarship is available to Hancock County residents or those who work in Hancock County. * Venipuncture/Phlebotomy and EKG training are included in the school curriculum.
* The maximum number of students accepted is 10.
