Diet Considerations
  1. Skim milk, 1%, or 2% low fat milk instead of whole milk.
     
  2. All vegetables are recommended except tomatoes and avoid fried or creamy style cooking.
     
  3. Apples, berries, melons, bananas, peaches and pears are ok, but avoid citrus fruits.
     
  4. Avoid breads and grains made with whole milk or high fat.
     
  5. Choose low fat meats such as chicken, fish, or turkey.
     
  6. Avoid chocolate desserts or those with oils and fat content above 3 grams of fat/serving.
     
  7. Choose fat free or low fat based soups.
     
  8. Avoid caffeinated, alcoholic or carbonated drinks such as coffee and colas.
     
  9. Do not snack between meals or eat mints of any kind.
     
  10. Eat smaller meals, large meals cause bloating, one of the main causes of reflux.
