The Mission of the Pastoral Care Program is to
serve people of Hancock County and our service area as the
"Great Physician" did, to bring inner healing spiritually
as well as physically.
The Pastoral Care Program provides pastoral and
spiritual support of patient and family members, hospital
associates, volunteers and physicians in times of crises and
celebration.
It has been proven in recent studies how
pastoral care enhances the healing process of people. This need is
evident in times of illness, injury, before and after surgery and
after the birth of a baby. Each event can represent a time of
special need for pastoral care.
The Pastoral Care Department provides a variety
of services to patients at Hancock Regional Hospital and the community: Initial and follow-up visits with all
new patients.
