Hancock Regional Hospital is a general hospital
located approximately 20 miles east of Indianapolis in the city of
Greenfield, Indiana. The hospital is located on Indiana Highway 9
(801 N. State St.) and is easily accessible from Interstate 70 or
U.S. 40. The hospital has a professional building on the grounds of
the facility and is attached directly to the south end of the
hospital as well as Parkway Imaging Center located on the east
portion of the campus.
Hancock Regional Hospital also sponsors three
other clinical education sites: 1) Riverview Hospital, 395 Westfield
Road, Noblesville, Indiana. Riverview is a general hospital; 2)
Henry County Hospital, 1000 N. 16th Street, New Castle, Indiana.
Henry County is a general hospital; and Rush Memorial Hospital, 1300
N. Main Street, Rushville, IN. Rush is a critical access hospital.
The School of Radiologic Technology is a
full-time school. It is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on
Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), 20 North Wacker Dr.,
Suite 2850, Chicago, IL 60606-3182 (312) 704-5300. The JRCERT is
recognized by the United States Department of Education. The
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists nationally certifies
the school's graduates. Sponsorship of the above is with the
American College of Radiology and the American Society of Radiologic
Technologists. The school is also approved by the Indiana Department
of Veterans Affairs.
The course is 23 months long and continues year
around, beginning on the first Monday after July 4th of each year.
The student will earn a certificate, which is presented during
graduation ceremonies. Upon completion of graduation requirements,
the students are eligible to sit for the examination administered by
the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. And upon passing
said examination, will receive the credentials of R.T. (R)ARRT under
the authority of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists,
representative of the American College of Radiology and the American
Society of Radiologic Technologists.
