Women Helping Women Celebration Dinner
Hancock Health Foundation’s Women Helping Women event is a pillar of breast cancer awareness, prevention, and advocacy in our community. This annual dinner event raises funds to provide education and healthcare services to our under- and uninsured neighbors.
In its first year, Women Helping Women paid for 26 mammograms. Thanks to our generous supporters, the program has grown tremendously! Last year, 104 screening and diagnostic mammograms were provided to women in need. A total of 155 women received care through Women Helping Women including mammograms, breast biopsies, clinical exams and MRIs. Your participation in this event will allow even more women to receive these truly life-saving services. This year’s funding will help us provide equipment to our radiologists called Tomosynthesis – bringing advanced 3D technology in the fight against breast cancer.
The 19th annual Women Helping Women Celebration will be held on Thursday, October 26th at 5:15 pm at Blu Falls Arts & Events Center in Pendleton. The event will include dinner, a live and silent auction, a brief program and fun! I hope you will consider being a sponsor of this event and working with us to continue the fight against breast cancer.
